Artificial wedding flowers

Artificial wedding flowers

Some people think artificial florals are tacky and shouldn’t be used for weddings, but this doesn’t need to be true.

If you are willing to spend the money, artificial flowers can look very realistic and can be a great option for wedding flowers.

Why should I choose artificial flowers for my wedding?

Artificial flowers have a lot of similar benefits to dried flowers, but while dried flowers only last for a few years, artificial flowers will last forever.

They can be a keepsake or reused.

They can be used again after the wedding as home decor  or kept somewhere as a keepsake.

For example, my sister in law placed the wedding bouquet I made in a vase and another customer added her hairpiece into a box frame with a wedding photo.

They don’t need to be delivered on the day.

If you’re anything like me the thought of not seeing the flowers until the morning of the wedding screams anxiety and stress! Because artificial flowers last forever, you can have them in advance and it’s one less thing to worry about on your big day!

Destination weddings and elopements

Fresh flowers aren’t usually something that you can take with you when travelling for a wedding, they would be provided by a local florist at your destination.

This may be difficult to arrange and expensive if you want something specific, so choosing artificial flowers that you can take with you may be a better option. Plus, they won’t get damaged while travelling.

They don’t wilt on the day

Although fresh flowers are stunning they do begin to wilt throughout the day. This doesn’t happen to artificial flowers.

Artificial flowers are very robust, which also makes them great for destinations weddings and children.

Great for hay fever suffers

As they aren’t real flowers they don’t contain any pollen that causes hay fever.

Are artificial flowers cheaper than fresh flowers?

You can find artificial flowers for very cheap but it is likely that the quality is poor. For high quality, realistic artificial flowers you do have to pay a bit more, but it is well worth the money.

Depending on the type of flowers you want, artificial and dried flowers can sometimes be a similar cost to fresh.
